Week in Photos: Sweet Treats

This week I tried macarons for the first time! These little pastel French cookies are really easy to find in San Francisco and are so cute I had to try them (they combat the rain and gloom well). I know I'm late in the game, these trendy little things are everywhere, but they are delicious and will make nice little gifts since they're packaged in such pretty boxes.
How has your week been, was your sweet tooth as intense as mine?

  1. Ok.. still haven't hopped on the macaron bandwagon. Am I really missing out?? I'm kind of on a Key Lime pie kick. Is that weird?

Its always good to have some stuff in your combatting-rain-and-gloom arsenal!

  4. I have yet to try a macaroon, so I guess I will have to get my hands on some soon. I love that scarf and the picture with the mason jar & rainy window. I have been satisfying my sweet tooth with Reisen's :)

  7. pretty pictures.. I have stayed away from the macarons so far.. they look very pretty but somehow I feel they are going to be too sweet.. I have a really cute french bakery near my place and I may try them one day..

    1. Surprisingly they are not that sweet! But they have lovely texture, flakey on the outside and soft inside.
