Lost & Discovered

My camera died yesterday and Ian and I searched high and low for the battery, turns out I left it in San Diego. We have a spare Nikon just collecting dust in the closet so now's a better time than any to use that guy again, it's been years. These photos, however, were all taken on my iPhone yesterday.

I made kale chips for the first time yesterday and now I can easily say they're my new favorite snack! They were surprisingly easy to make, I looked up tons of recipes online and they were all pretty different so I just made my own and was really happy with out they turned out, crunchy and flavorful!
I chopped the kale into 1-2 inch pieces, mixed them with a little olive oil, half a squeezed lemon, salt and pepper and then sprinkled some cayenne (less is more, they come out very flavorful so season to taste) I tossed them on a cookie sheet and baked at 350° for 15 minuets. Let them cool for a minuet and serve.
Have you made kale chips before? Feel free to add any tips!

  2. That's too bad about your camera - I'm super familiar with that feeling. I also really love that teacup at the top. :)

  4. Thanks for the kale chips recipe! I bought a bunch of kale recently and hated the bitterness! I've been making them into shakes and I'm getting tired of them already since it's very cold outside.

  7. I only have our Android as a camera source and it's killing me! Dramatic, I know. But seriously, I love love love snapping little shots throughout my day and while phone photography can be great, mine has been so grainy and I don't know why! Urgh.

  8. These photos are all from your iPhone? Wow! What good quality.

Ah, I love your coffee mug. Anthropologie? I have a really similar one.. I think they're from the same collection. Despite having a cupboard's-worth of mugs, that's the one I use almost every day. I just posted about it as well :)

I've never made my own Kale Chips, but now I'm tempted to try out your recipe. I'll keep you posted if I do! They sound delicious.

    2. You should!
I got an Anthro gift card for Christmas awhile back and had all these fabulous plans of what I was going to buy.. and I ended up spending the whole thing on teacups and coffee mugs. With no regrets. ;)

You can also find them online:
