Bumps in the Road

So, the company I work for recently moved their offices to San Francisco and to celebrate and get us settled in the CEO bought lunch for the entire company every day this week. She brought in burrito and grilled cheese food trucks and had Thai, Indian and pizza delivered. Every week we get bagels and cocktails on Fridays so that's something I'm planning to make room for maybe every other week or so. Totally awesome but also completely awful since I'm dieting, I tried choosing the healthiest options but I definitely went off course this week. I didn't lose weight but I didn't gain either and now I'm in the process of cleaning out my body and more importantly my mind, old habits die hard. But I don't want to get into the mindset that my life interrupts my diet, or vise versa. We have "bad" days or weeks but the healthy ones make up for it. I'm happy to report that in the month of February I lost 14 pounds! I'll be packing my lunches everyday from now on and I'm planning on taking my exorcizing routine out of my living room and into a gym, once I budget for it, gyms in San Francisco are so expensive.
Hope you all had a great month, here's to March!

  1. Easy access to food at work is so terrible! We constantly have left over catering at my job and it's so hard to stay on track with my diet with all of that goodness lying around. Congrats on the 14lbs!!

    1. I'll continue to keep you guys updated. Right now I'm really just experimenting with what will work with my lifestyle, my personality, ability and things that have longevity. It's very much a learning process and trial and error. I will say when I don't exorcize and eat whatever I want I gain weight, when I count calories, eat fruits and veggies and work out (even if it's just a little yoga or walking) the pounds fly off. 8-10 glasses of water and drinking green tea is something I'm big on too even though I can't say if it's directly contributing to my weightless because I'm doing lots of other things as well, but it's not hurting. Everyone has a different body and different needs my number one tip would just be awareness of what you're eating and at the very least how many calories you're eating daily, sometimes we think we're being healthy and it's shocking how wrong we can be. Find a good calorie counting app and use it everyday, no excuses.

    2. Thank you so much for replying - as I was super curious! I do use the MyFitnessPal app and I love it! Consistency is definitely key for me. I need to keep up with it if I want to be in shape by summer. I do super light workouts as well, just riding a bike and some pilates daily and I'm religious about water! So hopefully if I keep it up I can see more results by the end of March like you saw in February. Thank you!

Yeesh that's tough...I would try to plan around that with your eating during that day and I like that you would do it every other week! You really are motivating! Thanks for the inspiration boost! =)

    1. No, just the first week of lunch was bought for us to celebrate the new office, I'll be packing a lunch from now on. But on Fridays they bring in bagels in the morning and cocktails after work, I have to limit that!

  6. Congrats on the weightloss! I was healthy and working out all summer but as winter came I fell into a slump. I'm in the process of hopefully getting back to better habits, but it's so difficult! Good luck on your journey! You're true motivation/inspiration.

    1. Aww, thank you! I think that's a really common thing and one of the reasons I'm trying to get out of yo-yo dieting.

  9. Holy Moly- good for you! Can I ask how you lost 14 pounds in one month? I'm in desperate need of a kick start/push to focus on what I know I need to do, lose weight and be healthy! I'm good for a week then I'm craving junk food and totally indulge! I would love some inspiration on how to focus and stay on track!

  10. This NFL Flag for Tennessee Titans is constructed of polyester, measures 3x5 feet, and has two metal grommets for attaching to our 6' aluminum flagpoles or any of our tailgate pole systems. The perimeter of our NFL Flag for Tennessee Titans is double stitched and the team logos are screen printed into the flag so they won't peel. Because of its large size, these flags are great to hang on any wall in your game room, sports room, garage.
